The future USS Kingsville is a 418-foot testament to the partnership that Kingsville, Texas has with the United States Navy. The USS Kingsville is a state of the art Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Independence Class vessel. Capable of operating in nearly any environment, the USS Kingsville will be an integral part of protecting America.
The future USS Kingsville is currently being built in Mobile, Alabama by Austal USA. As described by Austal USA, the LCS is a highly maneuverable, lethal and adaptable ship designed to support focused mine countermeasures, anti-submarine warfare, and surface warfare missions. LCS integrates new technology and capability to affordably support current and future mission capability from deep water to the littorals.
